Obituary for Thelma Watts Howard
Thelma Watts Howard, age 88, of Jackson, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, Kentucky.
Thelma was born on January 08, 1931 to the late William Penn and Bessie Campbell Watts. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by five daughters: Bonnie Howard of Jackson, Kentucky; Joyce Howard of Jackson, Kentucky; Lavon (Dallas) Warren of Jackson, Kentucky; Judy (James) Combs of Ned, Kentucky; and Missy (Bobby) Dennis of Miamisburg, Ohio; one son: Bill Howard of Jackson, Kentucky; one brother: Alvin Watts of Whitesburg, Kentucky; ten grandchildren: Elesha (Scott) Allen, Bryan (Justina) Salyers, Tyler Howard, Kyle Howard, Alexia (Tanner) Lawson, Braxton Warren, Isiah Warren, Matthew Warren, Cody Dennis, and Bradley Dennis; five great grandchildren: Jed Salyers, Eevie Jo Salyers, Kyrah Howard, Brantley Lawson, and Kree Lawson; a special friend: Faye Shepherd; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, William Penn and Bessie Watts, she was preceded in death by her husband, Creed Howard; one daughter, Barb Howard; and one grandson, Shaun Howard.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 23, 2019 with Pastor Bobby Collins officiating. Thelma will be laid to rest in the Howard Family Cemetery (Highway 1812) at Jackson, Kentucky with Scott Allen, Bobby Dennis, Dallas Warren, Tanner Lawson, James Combs, and Bryan Salyers serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Sunday, June 23, 2019 until time of funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM.
