Obituary for Julie Dent Combs
Julie Dent Combs, age 90, of Michigan - formerly of Perry County, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Gilbert Residence in Michigan.
Julie was born on July 19, 1928 to the late Jim T. and Mahala (Neace) Napier. Julie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her children: Verna Bastedo, Lana Kennedy, and Phillip (Lisa) Combs; grandchildren: James, Stacy Gore, Sean (Christina), and Ashley (Dan) Haynes; great grandchildren: Jonathan Reitah, Marc, Mahala, Ella, Teagan, and Houston; great great grandson: Silas Reitan; siblings: Loretta Whittaker, Orlena (Don) Begley, and Irving (Shirley) Napier; sister-in-law: Sandy Napier; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jim and Mahala Napier; Julie was preceded in death by her husband Garnie Combs in 1994; sons-in-law: Thomas Kennedy; grandson: Mark; siblings: James Earl Napier, Imogene Combs, D.K. Napier, and Edith Miller; and brother-in-laws: Bonell Whittaker, Monticello Neace, William Napier, James Combs, and Leroy Miller.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 3:30 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2019 with Pete Youman officiating. Julie will be laid to rest in the McIntosh Cemetery at Clayhole, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2019.
