Obituary for Nannie Ellen Neace
Nannie Ellen Neace, age 79, of Newport, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Hospice Care of St. Elizabeth in Edgewood, Kentucky.
Nannie was born March 16, 1938 to the late Hent and Lizzie Herald Turner. She was a retired office employee.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra (Anthony) Deaton of Covington, Kentucky; four grandsons, Anthony "TJ" Deaton of North Carolina; Brandon Deaton, Sherman Neace III, and Andrew "AJ" Neace all of Newport, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Amy (Doc) Lawson and Allyson Neace both of Newport, Kentucky; four great grandchildren, Devin Neace, Doc Lawson, Tommy Lawson, and Timmy Lawson all of Newport, Kentucky; four sisters, Brenda (Lowell) Stevens of Worthington, Kentucky; Donna Griffith of Ashland, Kentucky; Betty Young of Hazard, Kentucky; and Dorothy (Roscoe) Smith of Salem, Indiana; three brothers, Earl (Peggy) Turner of Combs, Kentucky; Ronald (Pat) Turner of Ohio; and Bobby Walker of Combs, Kentucky; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents Hent and Lizzie Turner, Nannie is preceded in death by her husband Sherman Neace, a son, Sherman Neace Jr., mother-in-law, Gypsy Sebastian, sisters, Louise Walker, Annie Taulbee, and Peggy Turner, and brothers, Nathan Turner, Robert Turner, James Turner, and John Logan Turner.
Funeral arrangements will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home in Jackson, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 with Rev. Pat Turner officiating. Nannie will be laid to rest at Sebastian Sebastian Cemetery in Sebastian, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m.
