Obituary for R. Fred Combs
R. Fred Combs, 68, of Jackson, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday May 9, 2017 at his Residence.
Fred was born on May 30, 1948 to the late J. Gordon and Martha Hollon Combs. He was a self employed Real Estate Agent for many years.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Linda Haddix Combs of Jackson, Kentucky; one son, R. Fred (Tamara) Combs II of Lexington, Kentucky; two daughters, Tracey Combs of Lexington, Ky. and Myra (Gary) Bolt of Jackson, Kentucky; four Grandchildren, Greg Couch II, Sydney Couch and Mason Couch all of Lexington, Kentucky and Rachel Bolt of Little Rock, Arkansas; one Great Grandchild, Raelynn Bolt of Arkansas; four sisters, Patti Hamblin, Judy (David) Gaunce, Sue Combs and Karen (Jim) Deaton; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, other Relatives and Friends.
In addition to his parents, J. Gordon and Martha Hollon Combs, Fred was preceded in death by one brother J. Gordon "Bimbo" Combs II and one Grandson, Cory Jacob Couch.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Ky. at 2:00 P.M. on Friday May 12, 2017 with Pastor John Bunn officiating. Fred will be laid to rest at the Haddix Cemetery Inc. at Haddix, Kentucky with his nephews serving as Pallbearers and his Golfin' Buddies serving as Honorary Pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 P.M. on Thursday May 11, 2017.
