Obituary for William C. Howard
William C. Howard, age 91, of Jett's Drive, Jackson, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
William was born January 23, 1925 to the late Elijah and Mary Alice Salyers Howard. He was a retired employee of Diamond Chrysler of Detroit, Michigan and a Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Howard of Jackson, KY; one sister, Texas Berchfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
William was preceded in death by one son, William Howard; parents, Elijah and Mary Alice Salyers Howard; one sister, Susie Johnson; and brothers, Chester Clay Howard, Ollie Howard, Dexter Howard, and Charlie Howard.
Funeral services will be held at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, KY at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016 with Pastor Bobby Hollon officiating. Military Rites will follow the service with DAV Chapter 64 of Hazard, KY. Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the funeral home. William will be laid to rest in the Hollon Cemetery in Canoe, KY with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.
