Obituary for William Boyd Owens
William Boyd Owens, age 70, of Jackson, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at UK Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Boyd was born on August 31, 1948 to the late Willard A. Owens and his mother Hazel Risner, who survives. He was a Whirlpool Appliance Employee in Arkansas.
He is survived by his mother: Hazel Risner of Jackson, Kentucky; one son: William Owens Jr. of Arkansas; three grandchildren: Andrew Owens, Autumn Owens, and Cameron Owens; one sister: Elizabeth Kaye (Willie) Spencer of Michigan; one brother: Kenneth (Bonnie) Owens of Versailles, Kentucky; a special friend: Paul Parks of Oklahoma; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his father Willard A. Owens, Boyd was preceded in death by his grandparents: Grace and Dan Spicer and one brother, Willard Owens Jr.
A memorial service will be held at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Fred Finley officiating. Burial will be in the Spicer Cemetery at Jackson, Kentucky.
