Obituary for Sarah Strong
Sarah Strong, age 83, of Jackson, Kentucky, beloved wife of the late Carl Strong, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Sarah was born on August 21, 1933 to the late Irvin and Mary (Herald) Campbell. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by four sons, Carl Jr. (Tina) Strong, Donald (Linda) Strong, Jack (Debbie) Strong, and Billy Strong, all of Jackson, Kentucky; three daughters, Shelia (Buddy) Bush of Booneville, Kentucky; Rebecca (Jerry) Shouse of Jackson, Kentucky; Linda Strong of Jackson, Kentucky; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Carl Strong, and her parents, Irvin and Mary Campbell, Sarah was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence Campbell, Archie Campbell, and Walter Campbell; and sisters, Lillie Marie Robinson, and Ruth Campbell.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 with Rev. Kenneth Noble officiating. Sarah will be laid to rest in the Howard’s Creek Cemetery at Saldee, Kentucky with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016.
