Obituary for Sam Henry "Sambo" McIntosh
Sam Henry “Sambo” McIntosh, age 75, of Highway 30 West, Jackson, Kentucky, husband of the late Betty Johnson McIntosh, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017.

Sam was born on July 16, 1942 to the late Carl and Orlena (Morris) McIntosh. He was a retired mechanic.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, two sons, A.C. (Missy) McIntosh of Pine Ridge, Kentucky; and Samuel Dean McIntosh of Jackson, Kentucky; former wife, Gladys Fraley; five grandchildren, Jimmy Dean Trent, Dena Markwell, Betty Trent, Samuel Trent, and Sydney Spicer; one step daughter, Tabitha (Jamie) Smith; six great grandchildren, one sister, Alma Robinson - Keith of Jackson, Kentucky; one brother, Carl (Margaret) McIntosh of Jackson, Kentucky; a host of nieces, and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife, Betty Johnson McIntosh; and parents, Carl and Orlena McIntosh, Sam was preceded in death by daughter, Phyllis McIntosh Trent; and brothers, George McIntosh, and Bill McIntosh.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2017 with Rev. Archie Combs officiating. Sam will be laid to rest in the Johnson Cemetery at Robinson Fork in Jackson, Kentucky with Jamie Smith, Jimmy Dean Trent, Samuel Dean Trent, A.C. McIntosh, Dean McIntosh, and Junior Robinson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers, Doug Fraley, Lloyd Gross, Sandy Gross, Goley Salyers, and Delmer Thomas. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Additional services at 7:00 p.m.
