Obituary for Ruth Naomi Turner
Ruth Naomi Turner, age 83, of Highland Road, Jackson, Kentucky, beloved wife of the late Monroe Turner, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, Kentucky.
Naomi was born on February 19, 1933 to the late John Logan and Effie (Banks) Haddix. She was a homemaker and attended Grace Bible Community Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Effie (Sam) Jackson of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; Emma Chase of Campton, Kentucky; three sons, Eugene (Kathy) Turner of Jackson, Kentucky; Billy Ray Turner and Irene Campbell of Jackson, Kentucky; Larry (Ernestine) Turner of Campton, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one sister, Pauline Wyatt of Lexington, Kentucky; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Monroe Turner and parents, John and Effie Haddix, Naomi was also preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Faye Turner; grandson, Dean Monroe Turner; and great granddaughter, Aubrey Turner.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 with Bryan Combs Jr. officiating. Naomi will be laid to rest in the Monroe Turner Cemetery at Highland Road, Jackson, Kentucky with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016.
