Obituary for Russell Pelfrey
Russell Pelfrey age 79 of Vancleve, KY passed away Wednesday, August 06, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was the husband of Jan Thomas Pelfrey. He was also a retired employee of the Kentucky State Highway Department; a member of Providence Pentecostal Church; and a member of Breathitt Masonic Lodge F & A.M. Russell was born on October 17, 1934 to Daniel Boone and Eva Adams Pelfrey. Russell is survived by his wife: Jan Thomas Pelfrey of Vancleve, KY; five children: Darlene (Randall) Gillum of Vancleve, KY; Freddy (Melissa) Pelfrey of Vancleve, KY; Deniece (Mac) Trusty of Vancleve, KY; Eddie Pelfrey of Vancleve, KY; Darren (Jennifer) Pelfrey of Vancleve, KY; four brothers: Ted Pelfrey of Independence, KY; J.B. (Helgia) Pelfrey of Pensacola, Florida; Gene (Faye) Pelfrey of Wolverine, KY; Rex Pelfrey of Gatesville, Texas; three sisters: Sue (Jack) Welch of Columbus, Indiana; Juanita Carpenter of Vancleve, KY; Bonnie (Johnny) Lamb of Waynesville, Ohio; Mother -in-Law: Kathleen Thomas; thirteen Grandchildren; eight Great Grandchildren. Russell is preceded in death by his parents: Daniel Boone and Eva Pelfrey; one daughter: Lisa Pelfrey; five brothers: E.C. Pelfrey, Gary Pelfrey, Jack Pelfrey, Chester Frazier, Robert Frazier; three sisters: Sandy Parsons, Daisy Carpenter and Ruth Agee.
