Obituary for Roy Lee Smith
Roy Lee Smith, age 84, of Vancleve, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Nim Henson Geriatric Center.
Roy was born March 17, 1933 to the late Logan and Clara Taulbee Smith. He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by one grandson, Bobby Lee (Crystal) Smith of Jackson, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Tonya Neace of Jackson, Kentucky; one great granddaughter, Briana Leigh Smith of Jackson, Kentucky: four great grandsons, Samuel Smith, Jarrod Neace, Damon "Peanut" Neace, and Trevor Neace all of Jackson, Kentucky; six brothers, David Smith, Lewis Smith, Donald Smith, Robert Smith, and Logan Smith Jr. all of Jackson, Kentucky, and Ray Smith of Indiana; seven sisters, Dora King, May Smith, Wanda Smith, Geraldine Trent, Brenda Gullitt, Joyce Smith, and Mary Taulbee all of Jackson, Kentucky; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents Logan and Clara Smith, Roy is preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Combs Smith, son, Lee Roy Smith, daughter-in-law, Brenda Smith, brothers, Gene Smith and Paul Smith, and sisters, Bessie Smith and Clara Smith.
Funeral arrangements will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 with Harold Conner officiating. Roy will be laid to rest in the Miller Cemetery at War Creek, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. with additional services beginning at 7:00 p.m. with David Collins officiating.
