Obituary for Robert Anderson
Robert Anderson, age 94 of Lexington, KY (formerly of Breathitt Co.) passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at Veterans Hospital in Lexington, KY. Robert was a WWII Veteran, a member of Turkey Creek Missonary Baptist Church, as well as a Deacon there for many years. Robert also served several terms ASCS Board Employee of Columbia Gas and Wiser Oil Co. Robert is the son of the Late Grover and Eliza Hounshell Anderson and widower of Letha Marie Combs Anderson. Robert is survived by son Robert Butch Anderson Jr. - Miamisburg, OH. Daughter, Deborah Anderson - Lexington, KY, a son-in-Law, Johnnie Deatherage - Wilmington, OH. Also surviving are grandchildren and great grandchildren. John Robert (Lynn) Deatherage and children: Erin Nicole, Jill Marie, and Kelly Renee. Robert E. (Jennifer) Anderson and children: Sidney Taylor, Robert Gary, and Connor Jacob. Tim (Sherri) Anderson and Hunter. Patricia (Stephen) Pauley and children Harrison Reid and Eliza Marie Lu. Surviving are also sisters: Calla Mattingly and Roberta (Paul) Griffith, brother-in-law, J.B. Mullins, host of nieces and nephews, cousins, special friend and "adopted daughter" Jeannie (Gary) Snyder. Robert is preceded in death by wife Letha Marie Anderson, parents Grover and Eliza Anderson, a daughter, Treva Deatherage, sisters: Beatrice Combs, Martha Pence, Helen Anderson, Louise Terry, Bertella Johnson, Margaret Rhea, Estelle Couch, and Josephine Mullins. Visitation will be Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Funeral will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at the Hounshell Cemetery of Shoulderblade, KY.
