Obituary for Rita Kay Murphy
Rita Kay Murphy, age 48, of Rock Island, Tennessee passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Rita was born on July 18, 1968, a daughter of Ruth (Miller) Stainbrook and the late Roger Murphy. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, David Brewer of Tennessee; mother, Ruth (Miller) Stainbrook of Tennessee; two daughters, Desiree Snyder of Tennessee; and Brandi Brewer, also of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Ashton Murphy, Nicholas Snyder, Gavin Snyder, Isabella Snyder, Beau Brewer, and Lucas Brewer; two sisters, Kathy Jo Lykins, and Mary June Lykins, both of Tennessee; two brothers, Anthony Lykins of Tennessee; and Lance Stainbrook of Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 with Robert Cundiff officiating. Rita will be laid to rest in the Pence Cemetery at War Creek, Kentucky with Lonnie Miller, Anthony Lykins, Lance Stainbrook, David Brewer, Ryan Lykins, and Kevin Stainbrook serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017.
