Obituary for Rev. Cordus Hudson
Rev. Cordus Hudson, age 92, of Hardshell, KY, beloved husband of the Late Bertha Kazee Hudson, departed this earthly life Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Wolfe County Health Care in Campton, KY. Cordus was born October 13, 1923, a son of the Late South and Cassie Hudson. He was a Pastor at Harvery Bend United Baptist Church, a Custodian at Caney Consolidated School until his retirement in 1988, and a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific. Cordus was a Godly man who touched the lives of many people through his faith in God and his work. He is survived by one daughter, Verda (Leonard) Carpenter of Campton, KY; nine sons, Earl Wayne (wife, Kate) Hudson of Kettering, Ohio; Archie Hudson of Jackson, KY; Vergil Hudson (girlfriend, Sue Sweeny) of Beavercreek, Ohio; Alvin (wife, Elaine) Hudson of Haddix, KY; Seldon (wife, Charlotte) Hudson of Middletown, Ohio; Lewis (wife, Donna) Hudson of Louisville, KY; Gerald (wife, Martha) Hudson of Quicksand, KY; Denzil (wife, Debbie) Hudson of Hardshell, KY; Melvin (wife, Anna) Hudson of Hardshell, KY; one brother, Rev. Travis Hudson of West Moraine, Ohio; 32 Grandchildren; 44 Great Grandchildren. Cordus also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, one sister, Sarah; brothers, Tolbert, Reeve, John Carl, and Burnam Hudson, and one Grandson, James Hudson.
