Obituary for Paul Watkins Jr.
Paul Watkins Jr, age 79 of Sweetwater, Tennessee - formerly of Breathitt County, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Sweetwater Hospital in Tennessee.
Paul Watkins Jr was born on April 07, 1940 to the late Kay and Hazel Watkins. He was a retired General Motors employee.
He is survived by one son: Marion Lee Watkins of Tennessee; one daughter: Sandra Jean (John) Maine of Tennessee; four sisters: Karen Lockard of Frankfort, Kentucky, Emma (Junior) Combs of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Linda (Alan) Wells of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and Marie Abrams; four brothers: Johnny (Pam) Watkins of Frankfort, Kentucky, Ricky (Phyllis) Watkins of Frankfort, Kentucky, Donnie (Ruby) Watkins of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and Matt Watkins of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Kay and Hazel Watkins, he was preceded in death by his wife, Earnestine Noble Watkins; one son, Paul Douglas Watkins; one daughter, Jamie Watkins; three sisters, Mary Ann Pelfrey, Barbara Sue Watkins, and Betty Ruth Fraley; and one brother, Marion Watkins.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2019 with Rev. Robert Cundiff officiating. Paul will be laid to rest in the Lawson Cemetery at Mt. Carmel, Kentucky with friends and family serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home at 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
