Obituary for Orban Henson
Orban Henson, age 95, of Campton, Kentucky, passed away, Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, Kentucky.
Orban was born on November 17, 1922 to the late George and America (Fugate) Henson. He was a retired employee of Falcon Coal, a World War II Veteran and attended Faith Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred King Henson of Campton, Kentucky; two sons: Donald (Sharon) Henson of Jackson, Kentucky; and William Carl Henson of Dayton, Ohio; one stepson, Gary (Wanda) Smith of Campton, Kentucky; four grandchildren: Aaron Henson, Amanda Sue (Carlos) Tackett, Amy (Jason) Deaton, and Robert (Andrea) Henson; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives, and friends; special niece, Mary Jo (Larry) Noble of Lexington, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, George and America Henson, Orban was preceded in death by four sisters: Maude (Delbert) Prater, Evalee Caldree, Pauline (Bill) West, and Bethel Henson; two brothers: Cleve (Nelda) Henson, and Jack (Ola) Henson.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m., with Military Rites being conducted prior to funeral services, on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 with Jerry Henson officiating. Orban will be laid to rest in the Jackson Cemetery in Jackson, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 7:00 p.m.
