Obituary for Michael "Mike" Vernon Cable
Michael "Mike" Vernon Cable, age 52, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016.
Mike was born on November 25, 1963, a son of the late Mike and Opal (Griffith) Cable. He was a delivery driver for Lowes and an electrial professional. Mike enjoyed camping with his family, hunting, and was an avid Nascar fan #48, Jimmie Johnson. He loved playing with his grandchildren any chance he could. He also liked to fish and build things with his sons-in-law, whom he thought of as sons.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Alisa (Morgan) Cable; three daughters, Kristie (Kevin) Baum, Brittany (Tyler) Chichester and Erika (Curt) Collins; five grandchildren, Morgan Baum, Madalynn Chichester, Ryland Michael Baum, Ryan Michael Chichester, and Maya Collins; three sisters, Tammy Delk, Sandy Barlow, and Sharon Cable; his mother-in-law, Joyce Taylor, who was a second mother to him; a special "sister" Joyce "JoJo" and Mike Adams; nephew, Stephen (Jennifer) Garrison, and niece, Felica (Kevin) Robinson; great nephews, Logan and Lee Robinson; great niece, Mackenzie Garrison.
In addition to his parents, Mike and Opal Cable, Mike was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Douglas Cable and Ralph Arnold.
Visitation will be held at Watts Funeral Home in Jackson, Kentucky from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2016. A second visitation will be held at Johnson's Funeral Home in Georgetown, Kentucky from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at Johnson's Funeral Home in Georgetown, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016 with Pastor James Combs officiating. Mike will be laid to rest in the Georgetown Cemetery at Georgetown, Kentucky with Kevin Baum, Tyler Chichester, Stephen Garrison, Brent Colyer, Brad Jones, and Kevin Craig serving as pallbearers.
