Obituary for Mechelle Howard Hays
Mechelle Howard Hays, age 66 of Jackson, KY passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Greg and Noreen Hospice Care Center of Hazard, KY. Mechelle was a retired human resources employee, a member of First Church of God, and a member of Eastern Star Panbowl Chapter 276. Mechelle is the daughter of the Late Roy and Merdith Thomas Howard and widow of Ollie James "Bo" Hays. Mechelle is survived by daughter, Becky Hays of Jackson, KY; Son, James Michael Hays of Jackson, KY; Grand Daughter, Brittany Paige Hays of Jackson, KY; Sister, Linda (Frank) Neace of Lost Creek, KY; Two brothers: Roy Howard Jr. of Jackson, KY and Bill (Sheila) Howard of Independence, KY and a host of nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a special sister-in-law Rita Parker of Mt. Sterling, KY. Mechelle is preceded in death by her husband Bo Hays, parents Roy and Merdith Howard, sister, Maxine Howard Cooley, and nephew, Andrew Howard. Visitation will be Monday, April 21, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. with Eastern Star Rites at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bobby Hollan and Pastor Steve Williams. Burial will follow at the Jackson Cemetery of Jackson, KY.
