Obituary for Mary Oaks Taulbee
Mary Oaks Taulbee, age 82 of Jackson, KY passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Greg and Noreen Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. Mary was a member of Jackson Christian Church and cashier for Ben Franklin for many years. Mary is the daughter of the late Levi and Florence Thomas Oaks, and wife of the Late Forest Taulbee. Mary is survived by two daughters; Stephanie (Scott) Minix - Jackson, KY and Joy (Marcus) Rose - Hazel Green, KY. Two Sons; Lowell (Jennie) Taulbee - Curt, KY and Don (Irene) Taulbee - Hazel Green, KY. Survivng are nine grandhcildren and one step-grandchild; Fourteen great grandchildren, as well as one great great grandchild. Survivng are three sisters: Helen (Bill) Atkins - Cinn, OH; Golden Moore - Norwood, OH; Eudell (Carl) Johnson - Westland, Mich. Two bothers: Levi Oaks Jr. - Hazard, KY and Charles (Marlene) Oaks - Ingster, Mich. Mary is preceeded in death by husband Forest Taulbee, parents Levi and Florence Oaks, sister Gladys Shouse Jean Oaks, and brothers Ed Oaks, Ray Oaks, Willard Oaks, John Oaks, and Sam Oaks. Visitations will be Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Marty Sharp. Burial will proceed at the Jackson Cemetery - Jackson, KY.
