Obituary for Mary E. Spencer
Mary E. Spencer, age 80, of Jackson, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Saint Joseph Hospice Care in Lexington, Kentucky.
Mary was born on April 24, 1936, a daughter of the late Lee and Dovie (Howard) Allen. She was a homemaker and a member of Middle Quicksand Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jessie Spencer of Jackson, Kentucky; one son, Larry Spencer of Lambric, Kentucky; one daughter, Janet (Darrell) Cundiff of Jackson, Kentucky; two grandsons, Nick Cundiff and Chase Cundiff, both of Jackson, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Karen (Kyle) Richardson of Hilliard, Ohio; and Mary Beth Spencer of Lambric, Kentucky; two great grandsons, Joshua Richardson and Andrew Richardson, both of Hilliard, Ohio; two sisters, Anna Lovins, and Alberta Allen, both of Lambric, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lee and Dovie Allen, Mary was also preceded in death by one brother, Lee Allen Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 with Rev. Douglas Smith and Tim Miller officiating. Mary will be laid to rest in the Howard Cemetery at Lambric, Kentucky with Nick Cundiff, Chase Cundiff, James Lee Lovins, Charles Couch, Darrell Cundiff, and Morris Carpenter serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016. Additional services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016.
