Obituary for Martha Moore Spicer
Martha Moore Spicer, age 82 of Jackson, KY passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care of Hazard, KY. Martha was a homemaker and a member of Christian Church. Martha is the daughter of the Late Oney and Mary Noble Spicer and widow of Lee Spicer. Martha is survived by four daughters: Lynette (Stanley) Barnett - Clayhole, KY, Teresa (Doug) Allen - Salyersville, KY, Robin (Clyde) Hudson - Jackson, KY, and Diane (Denny) Stacy - Clayhole, KY. Two sons: Charles (Cathy) Moore - Jackson, KY and Howard Spicer - Jackson, KY. One brother: Howard (Vesta) Moore - Jackson, KY. Brother-in-law: Burton Harvey - Hardshell, KY. Also surviving are fourteen granchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. As well as a host of nieces and nephews. Martha is preceded in death by husband Lee Spicer, daughter Krista Lee Spicer, a son: Larry Spicer, two grandsons: Marcus Spencer and Jesse Spicer. Also preceding her in death are one great grand daughter: Aubrey Turner and a sister, Charity Harvey and a brother, Jim Moore. Visitations will be Monday, December 30, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. with additional services starting at 7:00 p.m. with Marty Sharp. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Tincher officiating. Burial will follow at the Moore and Spicer Cemetery of Jackson, KY.
