Obituary for Lola (Deaton) Watts
Lola (Deaton) Watts, age 77 of Richmond, KY - formerly of Breathitt Co., passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. Lola attended Old Regular Baptist Church of River Caney and was a homemaker. Lola is the daughter of the Late David and Cora Noble Deaton and widow of Harlin Watts. Lola is survived by two sons: Richard (Kim) Watts of Indianapolis, IN and Gregory Lynn Watts and Cynthia Ward of Georgetown, KY; Four daughters: Kathy (Kenny) Gross of Bainbridge, IN., Diana Gail (Timothy) Thomas of Ramsey, IN. Gora Lee (Gene) Combs of Whitesburg, KY and Tonya Watts of Richmond, KY; One brother, Ricky Deaton of Hazard, KY; Five sisters: Glenna Baker of River Caney, Patricia (Danny) Baker of Gays Creek, KY. Vera (Gerald) Rice of Beattyville, KY, Teresa (Jamie) Deaton of Bulan, KY, and Treva (Dale) Vires of Chavies, KY. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, one great great grandcild, and a host of nieces and nephews. Lola is preceded in death by her husband Harlin Watts, parents David and Cora Deaton, one daughter Shelia Watts Kordowski, great grand-daughter Cee Jay Watts, brothers Merril, Wilgus, Carl B., Earl Lynn, David, Alfred, and Lewis Deaton. Also preceding Lola in death are sisters Zola Deaton Offill, Janice Deaton, and Sandra Kay Deaton. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Noble and Marvin Henson officiating. Burial will follow at the Mullins Cemetery of River Caney.
