Obituary for Lois Gross Dyer
Lois Gross Dyer, age 79, of Jackson, KY passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Lois was born April 24, 1936 to the Late James and Nannie Turner Watts. She attended Hazard Community College where she earned her LPN degree. She was also a Chaplain and a member of Word Ablaze Christian Center.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul D. Dyer of Jackson, KY; one son, Wayne Douglas (Sylvia) Gross of Jackson, KY; three stepchildren, Phillip Jerry Dyer of Australia; Nicole (Dyer) Wilton of Canada; Jason Paul Dyer of Hebron, KY; two sisters, Sue Lancaster of Jackson, KY; Joyce (Phil) Combs of South Carolina; four brothers, Tony (Dean) Watts of Jackson, KY; Larry (Velva) Watts of North Carolina; Lonnie (Brenda) Watts of Lexington, KY; Don (Linda) Watts of Nicholasville, KY; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her loving parents, James and Nannie Turner Watts; her first husband, John (J.B.) Gross; daughter, Yolanda Campbell; two brothers, James Watts Jr., and Keith Watts; and sister, Faye Staton.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Watts Funeral Home at 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Fred Finley and Pastor Larry Watts officiating. Burial will follow at the Watts Cemetery in Chenowee, KY with pallbearers being, Austin Strong, Dylan Campbell, Andrew Strong, Jordan Keesy, Tony Watts, Larry Watts, Lonnie Watts, Don Watts, and Doug Gross.
