Obituary for Leona Stamper
Leona Stamper, age 51, of Stanford, Kentucky, formerly of Breathitt County, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.

Leona was born on November 21, 1965 to the late Porter and Bertha (Neace) Stamper. She attended Liberty Temple Church of Jackson, Kentucky.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three sisters, Sandra Henson of Jackson, Kentucky; Emline Montgomery of Hazard, Kentucky; and Betty O’Kuly of Phoenix, Arizona; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many other loving relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Porter and Bertha Stamper, Leona was preceded in death by one sister, Maggie Johnson; three brothers, Green Stamper, Seldon Stamper, and Enoch Stamper.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 with James Southwood and Jerry Henson Jr. officiating. Leona will be laid to rest in the Bud Bowling Cemetery at Stamper Fork, Canoe, Kentucky with pallbearers being, Porter Henson, Jacob Henson, Robert Johnson Jr., George O’Kuly, and other family and friends. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017. Additional services at 7:00 p.m.
