Obituary for Larry Wayne Lockard
Larry Wayne Lockard, age 57, of Campton, Kentucky, loving husband of Karen Watkins Lockard for 40 years, departed this earthly life Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
Larry was born July 7, 1960 to the late Lloyd and Princess (O'Connor) Lockard. Larry was a flooring installer and a member of Lee City Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking in the woods and pulling jokes. He loved his God, his family, and old westerns.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife, Karen Watkins Lockard of Campton, Kentucky; two sons, David Wayne (Pam) Lockard of Lawrence, Kentucky; and Justin Lockard of Jackson, Kentucky; one daughter, Katlin Princess Lockard of Jackson, Kentucky; two precious grandchildren, Matthew Lockard, and Madison Lockard; two brothers, Anthony (Teresa) Lockard of Georgetown, Kentucky; and Johnny Lockard of Campton, Kentucky; two sisters, Carolyn (Charles) Stamper of Jackson, Kentucky; and Marilyn (Ike) Graham of Jackson, Kentucky; special uncle, Floyd Lockard of Jackson, Kentucky; special aunt, Faye Shouse of Jackson, Kentucky; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Lloyd and Princess Lockard, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd Lockard Jr., Danny Ray Lockard, and Matthew Lockard; one sister, Judy Lockard Graham; one nephew, Anthony "Tony" Lockard; one niece, Victoria Princess Graham; and two great nieces, Abigayle Steinmetz, and Princess Mira Steinmetz; and life long friend, Glen Gross.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017 with Armon Nichols officiating. Larry will be laid to rest in the Lawson Cemetery at Mt. Carmel, Kentucky with Matthew Lockard, Michael Lockard, Brian Lockard, Charles Dean Stamper, Johnnie Watkins, Daniel Steinmetz, and Josh Lockard serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers, Floyd Lockard, Dennis Coomer, Junior Combs, Paul Watkins, Ike Graham, Donnie Watkins, Matt Watkins, Charles Stamper, Danny Steinmetz, and Johnny Lockard. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017. Additional services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m.
