Obituary for Kelsie Salyers
Kelsie Salyers, age 87, of Clendenin West Virginia, formerly of Breathitt County, beloved wife of the late Bob Salyers, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Mountain Manor of Paintsville in Paintsville, Kentucky.
Kelsie was born on April 9, 1929 to the late George and Carrie (Hall) McIntosh. She was a homemaker and a member of Chestnut Grove Enterprise Baptist Church of Lowmansville, Kentucky.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Clint (Robin) Salyers of West Virginia; two daughters, Donna (Gene) Boner of Paintsville, Kentucky; and Bobbie Carol (Gregg) White of Tennessee; two sisters, Shirley Stamper of Jackson, Kentucky; and Alicia (Dewey) Kirk of Ohio; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Jamey) Robbins, Barbara Ann (Greg) Pierce, Robbie (Tabitha) Boner, Leah (Steve) Helton, Nathaniel Salyers, Joshua (Megan) Salyers, and Ashley (Chris) Boggs; ten great grandchildren, Bodie Caroline Robbins, Laney Dare Robbins, Averie Helton, Dylan Boner, Dalton Boner, Sammy Salyers, Allie Salyers, Jace Boggs, Braxton Boggs, and Jamison Boggs; a host of nieces, and nephews, and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Bob Salyers; and parents, George and Carrie McIntosh, Kelsie was preceded in death by four brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 with Roger Sparks and Joe Dawson officiating. Kelsie will be laid to rest in the Jackson Cemetery in Jackson, Kentucky with pallbearers being, Robbie Boner, Steve Helton, Nathaniel Salyers, Josh Salyers, Dylan Boner, and Greg Pierce. Friends may visit the funeral home from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
