Obituary for Kathleen Griffith Thomas
Kathleen Griffith Thomas, age 85, of Florence, KY, formerly of Breathitt County, beloved wife of the Late J.W. Thomas, departed this earthly life Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY. Kathleen was born July 16, 1930, a daughter of the Late George and Sarah Ann Chambers Griffith. She was a self-employed Restaurant Owner and a member of Quicksand Fire House Church. Kathleen is survived by three daughters, Dollie McGuire (Denver) Kinder of Morehead, KY; Hazel Diane Thomas (Mitch) Wade of Independence, KY; Jan Pelfrey of Vancleve, KY; one son, Morgan (Sherry) Thomas of Florence, KY; 13 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren, four sisters, Birdie Griffith Noble of Bethany, KY; Monzell Griffith Turner of Union, KY; Gladys Griffith Conley of Bethany, KY; Hallie (Kenneth) Moore of Winchester, KY; two brothers, George (Helen) Griffith of Jackson, KY; and Grover (Lynn) Griffith of Winchester, KY. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, two sons, John Wesley Thomas III, Clyde Thomas, daughter, Wanda Joan Thomas, Great Grandchild, Stanley Ray Thomas, son-in-law, Russell Pelfrey, brother, Joe Griffith, sisters, Billie Jett, Opal Cable, and Mallie Johnson. Serving as Pallbearers, Lou Zehnden, Tony Zehnden, Morgan Thomas Jr., Shane Gibbs, D.J. Thomas, Brandon Pelfrey, Tyler Pelfrey, Tommy Blanton, Glenn Griffith, and Wayne Moore.
