Obituary for Judy Hollan Carpenter
Judy Hollan Carpenter, age 68, of Vancleve, Kentucky, beloved wife of the late Dennis Carpenter Jr., passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016.
Judy was born on September 22, 1948, a daughter of the late Ed and Mary (Miller) Hollan. She was a retired school teacher, and a member of First Church of God of Jackson, Kentucky.
She is survived by one son, Dennis Edward Carpenter and fiancee Tracey Kirouac of Vancleve, Kentucky; five sisters, Juanita Calhoun and Dr. Gene Watts of Hindman, Kentucky; Amy Jo Richerson of Jackson, Kentucky; Shirley (David) Walker of Eaton, Ohio; Beverly Cannon of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; Wilma (Wendell) Gross of Jackson, Kentucky; four brothers, Granville (Martha Jo) Hollan of Union, Kentucky; Walter (Molly) Hollan of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky; James Butler of Jackson, Kentucky; William (Kay) Arrowood of Michigan; very special nieces, Melodie Robinson of Hindman, Kentucky; and Natalie Hollan Courtney of Union, Kentucky; very special nephew, Ryan Taulbee of Vancleve, Kentucky; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to her loving husband, Dennis Carpenter Jr., and parents, Ed and Mary Hollan, Judy was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kellie LeAnne Carpenter; brothers, Charles Levi, Henry, Edward Hollan Jr., James Allan, and Bennie Edward Hollan; sisters, Josephine King, Nancy Hollan, and Mary Florence Hollan Turner.
Funeral services will be conducted at the First Church of God, Highway 30 West, Jackson, Kentucky at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 with Pastor Bobby Hollan officiating. Judy will be laid to rest in the Carpenter Cemetery at Vancleve, Kentucky with John Hollan, John Calhoun, Scott Hollan, Mackie Richerson Jr., Greg Richerson, Harold Watley, Scott Allen, and David Walker serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers, Granville Hollan, Dr. Gene Watts, Ronnie King, and Walter Hollan. Visitation will be held at the Watts Funeral Home, Highway 15 North, Jackson, Kentucky at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016. Friends may also visit the First Church of God, Highway 30 West, Jackson, Kentucky after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016.
