Obituary for Joyce Sparks Pelfrey Hudson
Joyce Sparks Pelfrey Hudson, age 76, of Vancleve, Kentucky, passed away, Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, Kentucky.
Joyce was born January 5, 1941 to the late Bill and Ochre (Williams) Sparks. She was a retired store manager.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Hudson of Vancleve, Kentucky; two daughters, Deniece (Mac) Trusty of Vancleve, Kentucky; and Darlene (Randall) Gillum of Vancleve, Kentucky; four sons, Freddie (Melissa) Pelfrey of Vancleve, Kentucky; Eddie (Sandy) Pelfrey of Vancleve, Kentucky; Darren (Jennifer) Pelfrey of Vancleve, Kentucky; and Jerry (Darlene) Hudson of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; one sister, Diane (John) Moore of South Carolina; one brother, Jerry Sparks of Oregon; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Bill and Ochre Sparks, Joyce was preceded in death by one daughter, Felicia Rae Pelfrey; two brothers, Joe Sparks, and Charles Sparks; and two sisters, Velma Webster and Nancy Sparks.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 with Pastor Bobby Hollon officiating. Joyce will be laid to rest in the Pelfrey Cemetery at Frozen, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017.
