Obituary for Johnny Edward Thorpe
Johnny Edward Thorpe, age 55 of Campton, KY passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014. Johnny was an employee of Morgan Logging. Johnny is the son of the Late Dewey and Helen Elizabeth Thorpe and husband of Anna Stacy. Johnny is survived by his children: Dewey Edward Thorpe of Beattyville, KY, John Earl Thorpe of Wolf Co., Elizabeth Combs of Owsley Co., Johnny Edward Thorpe, Jr. of Wolfe Co., Billy Thorpe, Virginia Thorpe, and Jessica Carter all of Wolfe Co., Andrew Worley of Stanton, KY, and Callie Marie Thorpe of Campton, KY. Brothers: Olaf Ray (Donna) Thorpe of Michigan, Frank (Mary) Thorpe of Jackson, KY, Bobby Jack (Geraldine) Thorpe, Calvin Thorpe, Jerry Thorpe all of Jackson, KY. Sisters: Linda Bryant, Nellie (Ricky) Combs of Jackson, K, Mary (James) Crowe of Lost Creek, KY. Mother-in-law and Father-in-law Earl Burt and Virginia Turner. Fourteen grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and a special friend Bill Morgan, also survive Johnny. Johnny is preceded in death by parents Dewey and Helen Thorpe. Brothers, Jessie James Thorpe and Dewey Everett Thorpe. Sisters, Geraldine Thorpe and Shirley Ann Johnson. Visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Virgil Turner officiating. Burial will follow at the Thorpe Family Cemetery.
