James Steven Haddix Sr., age 65 of Jackson, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 in Lake City, Florida.
James was born on February 14, 1955 to the late MC and Stella Allen Haddix. He was a former employee of Jackson Independent School System, KRCC, Breathitt Fiscal Court, and a member of Breathitt Masonic Lodge 649 F&AM.
He is survived by his wife: Joyce Patton Haddix of Jackson, Kentucky; one daughter: Lannie (Kenneth) Haddix Combs of Jackson, Kentucky; two sons: James "JJ" Steven (Ashley) Haddix Jr., and Jordan Tyler Haddix both of Jackson, Kentucky; two grandchildren: Alyssa Combs and Jakoby Steven Haddix; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, MC and Stella Allen Haddix, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Haddix.
*Due to the COVID-19 and CDC guidelines, visitation and service will be private.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky with Harry Kemper officiating. James will be laid to rest in the J. Haddix Cemetery at South Fork, Kentucky with Wallace Bates and Greg Bates serving as pallbearers.
