Obituary for James Conley
James Conley, age 88 of Beattyville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Nim Henson Geriatric Center in Jackson, Kentucky.

James was born on September 28, 1930 to the late Rev Henry Curtis Conley and Bertha Sparks Conley. He was a member of Spencer Ridge Church of Christ and a retired farmer.

He is survived by his son: Jessie Dean Griffith of Beattyville, Kentucky; four foster brothers: Rufus Griffith Jr. of Beattyville, Kentucky; Leroy Griffith of Garrad County; Mitchell Griffith of Beattyville, Kentucky; and Bobby Middleton (also known as: Jessie Dean Griffith) of Danville, Kentucky; brother-in-law: Clint Ross of Owensboro, Kentucky; two step-children: Lisa (James) Spencer of Beattyville, Kentucky and Charles Cole of Lexington, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Rev. Henry Curtis Conley and Bertha Sparks Conley, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Faye Conley; five sisters: Halla Mae Conley, Hattie Marie Angel, Manda Jane Newman, Eliza Lou Sparks, and Nannie Bethel Ross; two foster brothers: Silas Ervine Griffith and Earl Griffith; and one foster sister: Isa Bell Griffith.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 03, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Spencer Ridge Church of Christ Cemetery at Beattyville, Kentucky with David Phillips officiating.
