Obituary for Jackie Ray Terry
Jackie Ray Terry, age 72, of Walk Log Road, Jackson, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Jackie was born June 15, 1945 to the late Clarence and Georgia (Caudill) Terry. He was a farmer.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, five daughters, Debby Terry of Beattyville, Kentucky; Joan (Ricky) Wilson of Booneville, Kentucky; Jackie Brewer of Athol, Kentucky; Sheena Terry of Athol, Kentucky; and Emma McIntosh; one son, Jimmy Gibson of Booneville, Kentucky; one brother, Willard (JoAnn) Terry of Austin, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Nikki (Jerry) Land of Beattyville, Kentucky; Billy Jo (Margaret) Chatt of Beattyville, Kentucky; Lindsy Coomer of Booneville, Kentucky; Dustin (Crystal) Brewer of Athol, Kentucky; LeAnn Hensley of Athol, Kentucky; Kenzie Brewer of Athol, Kentucky; Jessica Hensley of Athol, Kentucky; Eli Gibson of Booneville, Kentucky; Tanner Terry of Stanton, Kentucky; and Trevor Terry of Stanton, Kentucky; three great grandchildren, Cayley Land of Beattyville, Kentucky; Chloe Land of Beattyville, Kentucky; and Colton Brewer of Athol, Kentucky; a host of nieces, and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Georgia and Clarence Terry, Jackie was preceded in death by one sister, Joan Terry; and two brothers, Donald Terry and Chester Terry.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2017 with Matthew Terry officiating. Jackie will be laid to rest in the Terry Cemetery at Athol, Kentucky with Shane Terry, Richard Terry, Joey Chatt, Johnnie Hensley, Dustin Brewer, Donnie Coomer, Andy Brewer, Ricky Wilson, and Michael Brewer serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
