Obituary for Hershel Branson Sr.
Hershel Branson Sr., age 81 of Jackson, KY passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at his residence. Hershel was a member of Lost Creek Free Church and a retired state employee, as well as a business man. Hershel is the son of the Late George Branson and Bethany Smith Branson. He is the husband of Helen Louise Combs Branson. Survivng Hershel is his wife Helen Louise Branson - Jackson, KY, one son: Hershel (Cathy) Branson Jr., one grandson: Seth (Brilerly) Branson - Lexington, KY, three Nephews: Darrell, Frank, and Joe, three nieces: Linda, Wanda, and Shirley. As well as one sister: Maude Marshall of Arkansas. Hershel is preceded in death by his parents George and Bethany Branson. Two borthers: Herbert Branson and John Branson. Two sisters: Geneva Branson Roberts and Ada Feltner. Visitation for Hershel will be Friday, June 7, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Haddix. Burial will follow at the Jackson Cemetery - Jackson, KY Honorary Pallbearers include: Charles Lovely, Bill McCune, Eugene Smith, John Lester Smith, John Wiseman, Elvin Smith, Harry Whitaker, Tim Smith, and Jim Smith.
