Herman Stamper, age 88, of Buckhorn, Kentucky passed away Friday September 22, 2023 at Hazard ARH in Hazard, Kentucky.
Herman was born on November 9, 1934 to the late Harlan and Ollie Johnson Stamper. He was a Fieldworker for EKCEP, and a US Army Veteran.
Herman is survived by his wife of 62 years; Linda Stamper of Buckhorn, Kentucky, Children; Rowena Stamper Miller, Nina Higgins, Crissy(Hassel) Smith, Randall(Melinda) Stamper, R.H.( Kimberly) Stamper, Host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Family and Friends, with Special Friend; Jerry Abner, Special Nephew; Charles Hyden, Special Niece, Christie Stamper, Three Sisters; Lavern(Roy) Jackson, Eliza(Mitchell) Gabbard, Katherine Lewis,
Herman was preceded in death by his Parents; Harlan and Ollie Stamper, Brothers; Letcher Stamper, Wesley Stamper, Beckham Stamper, Sister; Mima Carter.
Funeral Services for Herman Stamper will be held on Tuesday September 26, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Buckhorn Lake Area Presbyterian Church Log Cathedral with Gail Burns officiating. Military Rites along with Masonic Rites will be performed at the Church. Visitation will be held on Monday September 25, 2023 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the church. Herman will be laid to rest in the Harlan and Ollie Stamper Cemetery at Morris Fork, Kentucky with Timothy Miller, Chris Morris, Dale Stamper, Travis Watts, Jarred Watts, Dennis Howard, Clayton Stamper, and Nathan Bentley serving as pallbearers.
