Obituary for Henrietta Layne Watkins

Henrietta Layne Watkins, age 82 of Highway 205- Campton, KY passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013. Henrietta was a homemaker and a member of First Church of God. Henrietta is the daughter of the Late Henry Clay Evans and Bettie Crisp Layne. She is the window of Roy Watkins. Henrietta is survived by two sons: Lewis "Buddy" (Debbie) Watkins of Jackson, KY and Timothy Roy Watkins (Fiance Elizabeth Rios) of West Virginia. Two daughters: Sharon (Gary) Dyer of Lexington, KY and Betty May of Salyersville, KY. Seven grandchildren: Justin T. Watkins, Brendon Watkins, Brian Watkins, Benji Reed, Nickie (Chris) Meadows, Damon Dyer, and Bradley (Rebecca) Dyer. Four great grandchildren: Riley Meadows, Reed Meadows, Nathaniel Dyer, and Alice Dyer. She is also survived by a sister Thelma (Bob) Pocus of Tennessee and one brother Gilbert (Linda) Layne of Tennessee. Henrietta is preceded in death by husband Roy Watkins, parents Bettie Crisp Layne and Henry Clay Evans Layne, sisters Ruth Deakins, Emma Kathleen Layne, and Virginia Opal Layne. Also preceding in death are six brothers: Tom, Claude, Mitchell, Marvin, Matthew, and Willis Layne. Visitation will be held Monday, November 11, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Church of God - Highway West- Jackson, KY with Pastor Bobby Hollon and Pastor John Bunn officiating. Burial will follow at the Jackson Cemetery of Jackson, KY. In Lieu of flowers - Hospice of Bluegrass or First Church of God chairty of your choice.
