Obituary for Helga Karoline Haddix
Helga Karoline Haddix, 78, of Denver was born on September 21, 1939 and passed away on January 24, 2018. Helga was a loving mother and homemaker who was known as ‘Mom’ to everyone she knew. She loved her family, friends and animals and expressed this love by helping her family and friends whenever she could.
Helga was preceded in death by her husband Sgt. James E. Haddix as well as her daughter, Judy Haddix.
Helga is survived by her son, Gardner R. Haddix and sister Karen Reynolds, both of Denver, NC; sisters-in- law Shirley Haddix, Phannie Jean Haddix both of Jackson, Kentucky and Emily Jackson of Ohio; brothers-in-law David Haddix of Jackson, Kentucky, Bill Reynolds of Denver, NC. and many nieces and nephews.
Helga will be laid to rest in the Haddix Family Cemetery in Jackson, Kentucky on Saturday, February 3, 2018. at 10 A.M. Rev. Butch Holder will officiate at the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, Gardner Haddix has requested that donations in his mother’s memory be made to the Holy Cross Missionary Baptist Church 344 York Road Mount Airy, NC 27030 to help with missionary work around the Appalachians and South America.
