Obituary for Helen Louise Branson
Helen Louise Branson, age 77, of Jackson, KY, beloved wife of the Late Hershel Branson Sr. passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY.
Louise was born July 16, 1938 to the Late Ora and Opal Cope Combs. She was a retired school teacher, having taught at LBJ and Caney Consolidated.
She is survived by one son, Hershel Jr. (Cathy) Branson of Jackson, KY; grandson, Seth (Brierly) Branson of Lexington, KY; great grandson, Liam Branson of Lexington, KY; one sister, Patsy Carpenter of Mt. Sterling, KY; three nieces, Gina Carpenter, Jennifer Pugh, and Becky Huston; and a host of cousins and friends.
Louis was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, and one brother, Clarence Combs.
Funeral services will be held at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, KY, at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2016 with Pastor David Haddix and Bill McCune officiating, with singing by Kenneth Noble. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. Louise will be laid to rest in the Jackson Cemetery in Jackson, KY.
