Obituary for Hazel Stamper
Hazel Stamper, age 94, of Jackson, Kentucky, loving wife of the late Vincent Stamper, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, Kentucky.
Hazel was born on February 8, 1922 to the late Jessie P. and Angeline (Arrowood) Turner. She was a homemaker and a member of Old Regular Baptist Church.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, five daughters, Carline (Ronnie) Fisher of Indianapolis, Indiana; Pauline Sebastian of Mason, Ohio; Angeline (Taylor) Fugate of Canoe, Kentucky; America Campbell of Jackson, Kentucky; and Florence Stamper of Saldee, Kentucky; two sons, Hubert (Roberta) Stamper of Franklin, Ohio; and Bobby Ray Stamper of Middletown, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; host of nieces, and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her loving husband, Vincent Stamper, and her parents, Jessie and Angeline Turner, Hazel was preceded in death by son, Elzie Stamper; daughter, Josephine Turner; nine sisters; one brother; two great grandchildren; and four son-in-laws, Ronnie Stamper, Wayne Campbell, Oakley Turner, and Carl Sebastian.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2017 with Lonnie Arrowood, Jay Arrowood, and Larry Spicer officiating. Hazel will be laid to rest in the Jackson Cemetery in Jackson, Kentucky with Elmer Bowling, Ricky Fugate, Ricky Molands, Beckham Herald, Roy Herald, and Stephen Costello serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017. Special singing will be conducted at 7:00 p.m.
