Obituary for Harold "Cecil" Privett
Harold “Cecil” Privett, age 86, of Jackson, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Wolfe County Heath and Rehabilitation Center in Campton, Kentucky.
Cecil was born on April 30, 1931 to the late Robert Levi and Ora Lee (Gibbs) Privett. He was the former owner of Privett’s Texaco and the Corner Lunch. He was also a former employee of the Jackson Wholesale Company and a United States Army Veteran.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife, Wilma Jean Lee Privett of Jackson, Kentucky; one daughter, Rhonda Privett Baker of Jackson, Kentucky; one son, Robert Glenn (Shirley) Privett of Campton, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Christy Lynn (Keith) Conkright of Clay City, Kentucky; and Benjamin Glenn Baker of Jackson, Kentucky; four great grandchildren, Courtney Hope, Kelsey Nicole Conkright, Josh Kyler Baker, and Natalie Brooke Baker; one sister, Shirley (Wes) Hoover of Michigan; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Robert and Ora Privett, Cecil was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Mann, Lena Hill, and Edna Hayes; two step sisters; and two brothers, Kenneth Privett and Fred Privett.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017 with Kenneth Burnett officiating. Cecil will be laid to rest in the Chaney and Little Cemetery at Wolverine, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.
