Obituary for Georgia Francis
Georgia Francis, age 83, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Breathitt County, beloved wife of the late Chester Francis, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at Northpoint Healthcare in Lexington, Kentucky.
Georgia was born on March 18, 1933 to the late Albert and Vicie (Nix) Landrum. She was a retired Montgomery Ward cashier.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, John (Jennifer) Francis of Lexington, Kentucky; Larry (Mary) Francis of Clayhole, Kentucky; one daughter, Pattie Cabana of Chicago, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; four sisters, Roberta Strickland of Chicago, Illinois; Lola (Lee) Stidham of Rantoul, Illinois; Lucinda (Jack) Stanford of Florida; Louise (Louis) Day of Nicholasville, Kentucky; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband, Chester Francis, and her parents, Albert and Vicie Landrum, Georgia was preceded in death by one son, Chester Francis Jr.; two sisters, Mollie Napier Derossett and Cora Marshall; two brothers, Clay Landrum, and Kelly Landrum.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 with Pastor Bobby Collins officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
