Obituary for Floyd Gross
Floyd Gross, age 88, of Jackson, KY, beloved husband of the Late Lillie Mullins Gross, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Floyd was born December 7, 1927 to the Late Linville and Letha Combs Gross. He was a retired State Highway employee and a lifetime member of War Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by four daughters, Vernita (Arthur) Robertson of Frenchburg, KY; Norma (Jack) Sewell of Jackson, KY; Virginia (Jeff) Aydt of Greenfield, Indiana; Thelma Gross (Blackburn Haddix) of Jackson, KY; three sons, James (Chanda) Gross of White Lake, Michigan; Donnie Gross and Virgil Gross, both of Jackson, KY; two sisters, Lizzie Helton of Scottsburg, Indiana; Lillie Morris of North Vernon, Indiana; 10 grandchildren, Angie, Bridgette, Deana, Ashley, Justin, Jessica, Scott, Courtney, McKenzie, and Brandon; six great grandchildren, Kyle, Carter, Madison, Hunter, Emilea, and Krista; special Home Health Nurse, Jerrica Noble. Floyd also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Floyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife; his loving parents; two brothers; and seven sisters. Burial will follow the service with Floyd's family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers, members of War Creek Baptist Church.
