Obituary for Flora Bess Allen Hays
Flora Bess Allen Hays, age 88, of Cincinnati, Ohio, beloved wife of the late William Cecil Hays, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017.
Flora was born October 9, 1929 to the late Goebel Lewis Allen Sr. and Jessie (Carpenter) Allen. She was a retired employee of Fifth Third Bank of Cincinnati, Ohio.
She is survived by one son, James William Hays (Shelley); two grandchildren, Tyler Hays and Sidney Hays; two great grandchildren, Weston Hays and Tanner Hays; several much loved nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In addition to her husband, William Cecil Hays; and parents, Goebel Lewis Sr. and Jessie Allen, Flora was preceded in death by one brother, Goebel Lewis Allen Jr.; and two sisters, Helen Allen Kleckner and Anna Laura Heltsley Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 with Pastor John Bunn officiating. Flora will be laid to rest in the Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home after 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017.
