Obituary for Evalee Vires
Evalee Vires, age 80, of Illinois, formerly of Breathitt County, beloved wife of the late Sam Vires Jr., passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at her residence in Illinois.
Evalee was born on November 1, 1935 to the late Pole and Polly Jean (Smith) Gayheart. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Virginia Vires Frigo and husband, John Frigo of Illinois; one son, Samuel Vires III of Illinois; four grandchildren, Gary Bell III, Shauntel Bell, Samuel Paul Vires IV, and Melissa Vires, all of Illinois; seven great grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; three sisters, Pearlie Miller of Illinois; Alfina Landrum of Illinois; and Ovilla Gayheart of Hazard, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016 with Emmitt Campbell officiating. Evalee will be laid to rest in the Gabbard Flat Cemetery at Belcher Fork with her family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
