Obituary for Elzie Watts Bryant
Elzie Watts Bryant, age 94, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Breathitt County, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Dover Manor Nursing Home in Georgetown, Kentucky.
Elzie was born on January 26, 1923 to the late Thomas and Martha (Mullins) Watts. She was married to the late Wilgus Bryant. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of God. In later years she worked at Georgetown Cable and the mail room. Elzie was a Christian lady who loved to read God’s word, she loved to go to church. Elzie has earned her reward--heavenly home.
In addition to her husband, Wilgus Bryant, and parents, Thomas and Martha Watts, Elzie was preceded in death by one son, Larry Wilgus Bryant; great grandson, Silas Bryant; brothers, Harlan, Kelley, Dewey, and OV Watts Sr.; sisters, Callie Watts Turner and Cassie Watts.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017 with Pastor Lowell Rice officiating. Elzie will be laid to rest in the Haddix Cemetery Inc. at Haddix, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017.
