Elmer Lee Holbrook, age 66, of Rousseau, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Nim Henson Geriatric Center in Jackson, Kentucky.
Elmer was born on February 4, 1951 to the late Oscar and Pearlie (Brown) Holbrook. He was a former farmer and logger.
He is survived by former wife, Brenda Sue (Haddix) Holbrook of Jackson, Kentucky; one son, Gary Holbrook (Julie Drake) of Rousseau, Kentucky; one grandson, Jarrod Holbrook of Rousseau, Kentucky; four step grandchildren, Constance Swinehart of Rousseau, Kentucky; Jena Rae Henson of Rousseau, Kentucky, Morgan Slone of Jackson, Kentucky; and Ashley Slone of Jackson, Kentucky; three brothers, Burt Holbrook of Michigan; Forest Holbrook of Michigan; and Melvin Holbrook of Winchester, Kentucky; four sisters, Faye Armstrong of London, Kentucky; Edith West of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; Ethel Berry of Campton, Kentucky; and Nora Alice Williams of Rousseau, Kentucky; half sister, Betty Sue Turner of Jackson, Kentucky; special uncle, Roy Holbrook of Rousseau, Kentucky; a host of nieces, and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Oscar and Pearlie Holbrook, Elmer was preceded in death by one brother, Hager Holbrook; two sisters, Mae Cotton, and Katherine Hidgon; step grandson, Justin Henson.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Elmer will be laid to rest in the Holbrook Cemetery at Wolfe Creek, Rousseau, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017.
