Obituary for Donald Ray Hughes
Donald Ray Hughes, age 62, of Vancleve, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 08, 2019 at the Kentucky River Medical Center.

Donald was born on November 24, 1956 to the late Victor and Lottie Henson Hughes. He attended Hazel Green Church of God and was a retired mechanic.

He is survived by his wife: Sandra Elam Hughes of Vancleve, Kentucky; two daughters: Tonya Hughes and Pauline Hughes, both of Vancleve, Kentucky; four sisters: Ada Gwin of Jackson, Kentucky, Hannah Elam of Jackson, Ketucky, Brenda (Berlin) Taulbee of Frozen, Kentucky, and Rose (Ronald) Ellis of Jackson, Kentucky; one brother: Bobby (Brenda) Neace of Frozen, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Victor and Lottie Hughes, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Bessie Combs and Annie Sue Noble and two brothers: Roy Hughes and Ronnie Hughes.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 with Pastor Violet Combs officiating. Donald will be laid to rest in the Hughes Family Cemetery at Vancleve, Kentucky with Kirk Hounshell, Tommy Terry, Dustin Kilburn, Jeff Noble, John Elam, and Kenneth (Shorty) Combs serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home at 5:00 PM on Monday, June 10, 2019.
