Obituary for Dewell Lee Sims
Dewell Lee Sims, age 68, of Jackson, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021.
Dewell was born on May 30, 1952 to the late Ralph and Avis Trent Sims. He was a former machinist.
He is survived by three sisters, Dizie (Jerry) Fields of Franklin, Ohio, Thresia (Ronnie) Reynolds of Florida, and Betty Jo Combs of Dayton, Ohio; two half sisters, Barbara Wright of Jamestown, Tennessee and Helen Pugh of Crossville, Tennessee; one brother, Tony Sims of Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends of the Sims and Trent families.
In addition to his parents, Ralph and Avis Trent Sims, Dewell was preceded in death by three brothers, Captain Sims, Larry Wayne Sims, and Ralph Sims Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 12:00 PM on Thursday, February 04, 2021 with David McIntosh officiating. Dewell will be laid to rest in the Jackson Cemetery at Jackson, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 04, 2021 prior to funeral services beginning at 12:00 PM.
