Obituary for Denver McKnight
Denver McKnight, age 76, of Jackson, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Denver was born on August 12, 1942 to the late Samuel J. and Viola Spicer McKnight. He was a retired postal employee.
He is survived by his wife: Darlene Bryant McKnight of Jackson, Kentucky; two daughters: Brittany (Brandon) Centers of Bardstown, Kentucky and Natasha Lanham of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; three sons: Rhett (Jennifer) McKnight of Jackson, Kentucky; Derek (Lisa) McKnight of Jackson, Kentucky; and Kyle (Rhonda) McKnight of Crab Orchard, Kentucky; one niece: Bridgette (Porter) Henson of Jackson, Kentucky; two great nieces: Samantha McKnight of Jackson, Kentucky and Portia (Chris) King of Jackson, Kentucky; nine grandchildren: Seth (Jewel) McKnight of California; Megan (Shandy) Karrick of Morehead, Kentucky; Jay (Ginny) McKnight of Versailles, Kentucky; Courtney McKnight of Jackson, Kentucky; Benton McKnight of Crab Orchard, Kentucky; Rheagan McKnight of Crab Orchard, Kentucky; Reid Allen of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; Finn Allen of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; and Brance Centers of Bardstown, Kentucky; one great grandson: Jackson McKnight of Versailles, Kentucky; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Denver was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Viola McKnight, one brother: Sam McKnight, and one grandson: Matthew McKnight.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 06, 2019 with Dana Spicer officiating. Denver will be laid to rest in the McKnight Family Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home at 6:00 PM on Saturday, January 05, 2019.
