Obituary for Daisy Fern Smith
Daisy Fern Smith, age 92, of Tipp City, Ohio, formerly of Breathitt County, beloved wife of the late Archie Smith Jr., passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Covington Care Center in Covington, Ohio.
Daisy was born on February 1, 1925 to the late Enoch Clay and Lillie Stevens. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by five daughters, Phyllis (Dave) Cox of Tipp City, Ohio; Miriam (Roy) Trent of Jackson, Kentucky; Gloria Davidson of North Carolina; Lillie (Roger) Griffith of Texas; and Anna (Clayton) Green of Salt Lick, Kentucky; one son, Marvin (Kathy) Smith of Mississippi; 26 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; and many other loving relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husband, Archie Smith Jr., and parents Enoch Clay and Lillie Stevens, Daisy was preceded in death by one son, Charles Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017 with Armon Nichols officiating. Daisy will be laid to rest in the Smith Family Cemetery at Wolverine, Kentucky with Joe Cox, Jim Cox, Don Cox, Colin Jordan, David Parkhurst, Brian Pelfrey, and James Robert Griffith serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017.
